Your learning experience

  • Start working with industry standard microphones, mixing consoles and digital audio work stations in the first trimester.
  • Develop high-level skills on industry-standard software, including Pro Tools and Logic.
  • Master your craft on small and large format consoles and record the music genres you are interested in.
  • Get practical experience in live sound, electronic music, audio post production, and audio for film and television.
  • Work with artists, designers, web, mobile and games developers, film makers, and animators.

The associate degree provides graduates with the basic core skills for entry into the industry, or to cross-skill into a related creative industry. Graduates will have broad technical knowledge and skills at a paraprofessional level.

Entry requirements

Applicants for degree courses must satisfy one of the following minimum entry criteria:

  1. Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (SSCE) or equivalent, OR
  2. Completion of a diploma level qualification issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), OR
