Games lecturer Adam Ruch speaks to New Scientist

Games Lecturer and Department Coordinator at SAE Sydney, Adam Ruch, was recently interviewed by New Scientist in an article in the ‘tech’ section of their website.

‘ButtonMasher: The rise of consequences in video games’, features Ruch discussing the video game ‘DayZ’ and how it created one of the most authentic social interactions that he’s ever experienced in a video game.

"The game has captured mainstream attention… even for non-gamers the idea that you have to start all over again if you're killed is very easy to comprehend. Knowing the risks makes everything you do more important."
